Fender vs G&L guitar?

ehy i have the oportunity to buy either a fender 62 reissue MIM strat wiht lindy farlin vintage pickups $550 or a G&L legacy for $700. what do u guys think would be the better choice?
one thing that concerns me with the G&L is its neck profile. i heard it was alot fatter than a strat neck.

    I would go with the strat, however i have never played any G&L guitars so i really wouldnt know. You never really hear much about G&L though so i really dont know how they compare. But i would go with the strat.

    Go with the G&L. G&L is the byproduct of Leo Fender and George Fullerton, hence their intitials, G&L. It was created when Leo Fender sold his company to Music Man. Relations went sour and Leo broke off and created G&L with Gary. They are sweet guitars.

    When compared, fenders sound good in all aspects from the anatomy to the quality of sound produced. History has nothing to do with the quality of the instrument. Dude, Fenders are best.
