Mrs. Ringo asked:

Which is a better guitar. I would think the Vintage Mahogany is because it has BurstBucker Pro pickups (same as the old and new 2008 Standards). But a lot of people love the Studio. Thoughts?

The Les Paul vintage mahogany IS a LP studio, only with different pickups and a different studio. It’s many times marked as a studio – and It says it on the headstock.

I just got done playing ‘em at Guitar Center. They’re both good guitars, but I prefer the studio (with the exception of pickups of course.) because the studio has a better finish, IMO. The vintage mahogany finish really isn’t that nice if you see it in person and check it out. It’s a nice guitar, though – very nice. It just feels very dry, and the neck isn’t too fast because of it.

Honestly the vintage is a studio. Just like he said. Typically the needs of the average consumer can be met by the studio. Its not like its a choice between a horrid guitar and an amazing. Besides, you can always install new pickups :)
