What is the best electric starter guitar around 300.00?

Your instructors Gibson is probably a very high end model. Most guitars for 300$ and under are gonna be pretty cheap. Hit up pawn shops or discount/resale guitar stores instead of buying new and try them before you buy them!

check Ebay, Craigslist and or local bands for used gear. I know my friends have bought some pretty good gear for cheap from some bands, and I’ve seen some good deals on craigslist and ebay. I’d recomend getting an Epiphone SG, Les Paul standard, or an Ibanez ART300. also if you have the time, I’d tell you to build your own guitar. I did that over the summer and I’m really happy on how the Strat looks like, now I’m just focusing on getting my favorite bands to sign it before sealing the body.
