I'd say the "Studio". WHy? The studio has the T500 pickups, better sound than the Vintage's "Burstbucker" pickups. The studio features Schaller tuners , which are better than the Vintage's stock Gibson tuners (first thing i did with stock Les Pauls is replace the tuners). Also , the Studio neck shape specifies as "N/A" (which means it's the current LP neck) , while the Vintage has an older type neck (more rounded), and unless you are used to older vintage style neck , they are sometimes more uncomfortable to play. With the Studio you get a good hard case - Vintage gets you a "gig bag" - not the best protection. Both have Mahogany bodies - the vintage having a mahogany top as well, but that's mostly a cosmetic feature at that point. Bottom line - go play them both , and listen to and feel them both , and that will actually give you more insight.

I'd get the GLP studio seeing as it's my dream guitar...I just have to save up for it. Isn't the studio something like $1,649?

looks like there are subtle differences in the bridge and pickups and that is about it- and a case with the studio. And one has a 59 neck. I would try them both out and if you can't and are getting them online I would get the Vintage one

Yea, tough decision........but in the end I'd go with the Mahogany.
Both being Gibson Les Paul designs, they're both gonna be good......but that mahogany body will beat a 'non fan' off your stage and not miss a beat. The point on the headstock of an Ibenez is good for this, too. Ok, a little off point.....either one will bring you much joy!
