Hi,
Hi,
I have a gibson LP studio vintage mahogany. It’s by far the best guitar i’ve ever owned tonewise but it seems to suddenly get way flat at and above the 12th fret. Has anyone had similar problems with the LP? If so, how do you fix it? I’m a mechanic so I won’t have any problem doing the repair myself, I just don’t know what to adjust here.
Thanks in adv…

Sounds like something you’d want to ask a professional luthier or at least somebody who does guitar repair for a living. Good luck.

Luitier, I can’t say this enough, you shouldn’t repair your own guitar, it could be a bowing in the neck or it could be something all together different, sometimes it’s something as simple as bridge work, a pro would be able to tell you. Once you start doing something to it there’s no going back, would you repair your own teeth if one was broken no you would go to a professional. You may lose that tone that you do like below the twelfth and then what? Take it to a pro!!!!!!
