i ordered a gibson les paul classic vintage sunburst, the guitar dealer has said its gunna take 30 days. he knows weve been waiting and he said hell give us a deal on a gibson standard les paul and he says its better. i like the look of the classic better. i know theres a 500 dollar difference but is there realy a big difference. i want my classic and he keeps saying not to pass on the standard. whats the deal?

There are two things you can try:
Go to:
and check out all the Les Pauls. You did not list specific models of either the classic or standard (the necks vary, for one) so I can’t tell you the difference.
For side-by-side comparison of features and prices, go to
and check the boxes next to the models you’re comparing, then scroll down and click on “compare selected.”
This should give you all you need to know. I’ve used Musician’s Friend for several years and have yet to be disappointed. They always beat dealer pricing too.
