Can I just plug in a vintage guitar?

Interestingly Enough asked:

I’ve never bought an old guitar before (we’re talking 1940′s or so). Heck, I’ve never even played one.

But if I were to get something, what are the electronics like? Can I just plug it up and get it ready to go? Or is there even the same 1/4 inch cable type? Really I know nothing about them.

Thanks guys.
Generally the only problem, yeah, but there is something nice about a vintage buzz, right?

Should be the same cable and there’s no problem in plugging them into modern amps but the pickups on older guitars are weaker than modern ones and buzz more. That’s generally the only problem.

if you’re looking for that fuzzy vintage buzz sound, try a vintage amp
has some awesome vintage amps and pedals that have some sweet sounds.
