evandingman asked: Gibson SG Special (Seymour Duncan SH-6 in neck and bridge)
Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Tremoverb Head
Avatar Custom 4×12 (2 Celestion Vintage 30s, 2 Celestion G12H)
I’ve heard an EQ can help bring out the tones I’m looking for or maybe plugging a tubescreamer in front of the amp to tighten up the low end? Any thoughts? Thanks.

wetwillie1800 asked: I am ready to upgrade to a Les Paul model, after spending several years with an SG (Gibson). I’ve done a lot of searching, and the two I’ve narrowed it down to are: The Classic and the Classic Antique (Vintage Sunburst for either). I want to get a very Slash-Like tone, so I’m going to get some Seymour Duncans to put on it. Which whould give me the better tone? Thanks!
Thanks, but I’m selling my SG and buying with that and any other dough I can gather up. $3,400 is WAY too much.

Luke T asked: I want to make a relic looking guitar. It is going to be a sea foam green strat but I want a orangey neck to give it a vintage feel. What kind of wood is orangey?

Benjamin asked: I am checking out these guitars on Ebay in perfect condition with the price reduced from around $350 to $160. I have heard mixed reviews on both the Gibson and Epiphone model of these guitars, but like the sound of them. I was wondering how good the pickups are, if they go out of tune easily, the overall quality of these guitars, ect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Braqs asked: I have around $1,000 to spend, I wanna either get a Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany or a Shecter Hellraiser. I like them both a lot and the Les Paul Studio is $900 and the Hellraiser is $850. The Les Paul doesn’t have a whammy bar and the Hellraiser does. If I get the Les Paul then I’ll have a brand name like Gibson, but if I get the Hellraiser I could get a better amp. Also, the Les Paul doesn’t have a finish, the Hellraiser does. I’m into classic rock like Led Zeppelin, Santana, Gun’s N’ Roses, Aerosmith, and Queen, U know, stufff like that.

ARTIST asked: I already own a danelectro 59 dc, but am looking to upgrade to something more sophisticated.
I want to invest in a vintage Gibson SG, and am looking on the internet and in various music stores and pawn shops in the area where i live.
Does anyone know of any site that specializes in these types of guitars? I probably won’t buy online, but I still want to see all of my options. Here’s a picture of a 1964 model:
