I’ve heard an EQ can help bring out the tones I’m looking for or maybe plugging a tubescreamer in front of the amp to tighten up the low end? Any thoughts? Thanks.

I own a fender dsp212, not the best but not bad. I just want a good bluesy tone, or tones that would fit with stuff like hendrix, eric johnson, zz top, zepplin, just good blues rock i guess you could say. Im open to any suggestions. Thanks to those who answer.
I already have really good clean tones, no problem with that just dirty or distorted tones is what i need

christopher_2481 asked: I know the bluesjr is suppost to be cheaper versions of these classic tweed amps but tone and speakers and tubes i am sure dont measure up
so sound wise what charactor is the champ known for and whats missing from the Blues Jr.
Clapton was known for using a Champ for recording to get that thick distortion on Layla at low volume. and the Jr. to me ( i played one yeasterday) wasn’t close to sound thick or warm it had too much treble and sounded thin and cheap.. i want that thick warm vintage fender tone clapton had

Max B asked: I am planning on buying a vintage Fender Twin Reverb from a local music store. As you may already know, however, this is a very clean amp. I was looking for some suggestions as to what type of pedal i should get to get a nice overdrive tone while still maintaining some of the wonderful characters of the amp.
P.S. I play a stratocaster

Guitar man asked: I have had a variety of appraisals on this original guitar I have owned for 49 years. I have the original tweed amp (Champ) and the original case. It is valuable, I know that. But, I can’t seem to find a venue to sell this on. When I go to online stores, they are all selling new “vintage” guitars for a couple thousand dollars. This, I have been told, is worth far more than that. Anyone have ideas OTHER than Ebay? Thanks.

Tim asked: I have just bought a vintage v100 guitar and there is something not quite right with it there is a strange buzzing from the strings when playing like the strings are hitting something. The sound quality is also very poor I don’t know if it is the guitar or the amp (fender frontman 15g) that is the problem.
could someone please give me some advice
thank you very much

Braqs asked: I have around $1,000 to spend, I wanna either get a Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany or a Shecter Hellraiser. I like them both a lot and the Les Paul Studio is $900 and the Hellraiser is $850. The Les Paul doesn’t have a whammy bar and the Hellraiser does. If I get the Les Paul then I’ll have a brand name like Gibson, but if I get the Hellraiser I could get a better amp. Also, the Les Paul doesn’t have a finish, the Hellraiser does. I’m into classic rock like Led Zeppelin, Santana, Gun’s N’ Roses, Aerosmith, and Queen, U know, stufff like that.

Sweets asked:
I’m in search of an electric guitar, and was wanting to know everyone’s opinions on brands. He wants a Fender, but we also spotted an awsome Samick pack. I’d love to have the amp included. I’ve also heard Yahama are ok also. I don’t want a vintage, because of price and well, they’re old. lol More than one pickup and/or humbucker too. He is a beginer, but wants one that will always be better than he is. lol
Any ideas of what to look for, and what to look out for? Any links to sites with amazing deals on a new one? (I’ve been all over ebay so don’t point it out!)
Thanks for your help, and I hope to have him shreddin by x-mas!!!
;o)
I DID mention this is for my HUSBAND, not a child….. He’s been playing for only a couple months on an acoustic, but now wants an electric.

Tom1973 asked: wife. I’ve been playing for 15 years, however, I sold my electrics a few years ago to pay off some debt. Let me tell you, this guitar rips. On the bridge it has a nice Duncan Designed humbucker pick-up. I play through my Marshall 30 watt MG 30DFX amp, and I have a Dunlop Cry Baby pedal as well. I use Ernie Ball super slinkies 9′s. This guitar is really good for the money. It’s listed on the Fender Squire website for $499, but my wife got it new for $330, got a good deal on it. It’s color is gun-metal grey. Tell me what you think of it? The links are below.
