East Coast Assassin asked:
I am almost positive it is this guitar
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-American-Vintage–62-Stratocaster-Electric-Guitar-510049-i1146252.gc
I saw it at guitar center, and it was $440 – only because it was the last one they had and they had not sold it yet. it was a 60s stratocaster. how good is this guitar? thanks
also the price is sooooooo low. IT WAS NOT USED EITHER.
why?
THIS WAS THE GUITAR!!!!
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-Classic-Player-60s-Stratocaster?sku=512767
so that’s $360 off, is it good?
is was the sunburst red/brown color NOT the light blue

Toto Lotito asked: I´ve seen all of the offered telecasters at www.fender.com. I´m looking for a good guitar, one that I´ll mostly use as a rythm guitar, cause i am not fond of great guitar solos. I´ve also tried Stratocasters but I am looking for a cleaner, more bolder sound, for rock, pop and folk music. What I´d like to have is an answer on quality vs. cost basis. For example: is there really that much difference between Custom an Vintage or Deluxe Series?

Sweets asked:
I’m in search of an electric guitar, and was wanting to know everyone’s opinions on brands. He wants a Fender, but we also spotted an awsome Samick pack. I’d love to have the amp included. I’ve also heard Yahama are ok also. I don’t want a vintage, because of price and well, they’re old. lol More than one pickup and/or humbucker too. He is a beginer, but wants one that will always be better than he is. lol
Any ideas of what to look for, and what to look out for? Any links to sites with amazing deals on a new one? (I’ve been all over ebay so don’t point it out!)
Thanks for your help, and I hope to have him shreddin by x-mas!!!
;o)
I DID mention this is for my HUSBAND, not a child….. He’s been playing for only a couple months on an acoustic, but now wants an electric.

x/x|xM!c#@3Lx|x\x asked: It looks pretty sweet but I’m no guitar expert. I’ve heard it’s just as good as a Gibson, not like the Squire garbage fender makes where they fall apart a week after you get them. This is a real guitar here. It’s just a standard SG make to look like a clssic, right? Now I know it looks cool, but does it sound good? Tell me what you think of this guitar. (by the way I’m getting the cherry-colored one for my birthday!)
Please give me some input!!!

Brad asked: I want to paint my boring plain black squier strat (I would never repaint a good guitar) like the sunburst on the vintage Jaguar that Fender has out now. What is the base coat color, it’s not amber like the traditional sunburst strat, it is some orange color.

Jonny Q asked: I was at a flea market and this guy had some old stuff, had a creme colored strat and a and a vintage 60s era Lea Paul, looked pretty good and he had the original case, he wanted $200 for it. I still have to play it before I consider buying it. I know that vintage guitars (especially strats and Les Pauls) can be pretty valueable. I already have a one year old Squire strat (made by Fender) and I’m happy with it, but I’d like a Les Paul and vintage just makes it cooler (to me). Anyways, assuming it plays well and is in good condition, is it worth the $200? I don’t know the exact model as I’m not an expert on any brand or model, but in general what is a Les Paul from the 60s (playable and in good condition) worth now?

Mr BoBo asked: So i am getting ready to equip my 86 fender pbass with some vintage pickups (72′s and out of a 72 pbass ) and i was told by the people that are going to install them for me (professionally done) that i should replace my plastic pots as well.so my question is are the pots from a guitar (tone, volume pickup selector) the same as for a bass? ive been looking around online and cant find the answer. any ideas?
