lee32476 asked: I have a ’79 Les Paul, and one of the buttons on the machine heads has come loose. I would like to replace the whole set, but I’m having trouble finding a replacement that is vintage nickel with nickel buttons. It seems like all they make now are pearloid. Does anyone know where I can find these? I live in Tampa, but I’m guessing I’m going to have to find this online somewhere. Otherwise, does anyone know a good bonding agent to get this thing stuck back on. It’s my low E string, so there’s a good deal of tension when you turn it…

Adam asked: At band camp at my local music school, my Gibson SG Standard was sitting on a guitar stand. One person knocked the stand over. My A string tuner hit the hard floor and it was broken. The rod was bent and two of the pins were snapped. I don’t to buy a whole set because they run for around 60$. Does anybody know where i can buy a single one? They are the chrome ones with the pearloid knob, and they say “Gibson Deluxe” on the back. They are the ones found here:

rdeavilla asked: I am going to be purchasing some parts for my guitar and would like some opinions.
First- I am looking into the Gibson 500k ohm Potentiometer push/pull knobs. I know that they change the tone from a humbucking pickup to a single coil, but I was wondering should I replace both tone knobs or just one. ( my neck position pickup is a burstbucker pro and my bridge position is a 1957 paf)
Second- What is the difference in the Gibson vintage les paul tuning knobs with pearloid buttons and the Gibson vintage nickel plated tuning knobs with pearloid buttons?
Thank you for responding

ARTIST asked: I already own a danelectro 59 dc, but am looking to upgrade to something more sophisticated.
I want to invest in a vintage Gibson SG, and am looking on the internet and in various music stores and pawn shops in the area where i live.
Does anyone know of any site that specializes in these types of guitars? I probably won’t buy online, but I still want to see all of my options. Here’s a picture of a 1964 model:

Graham A asked: I’m looking to buy, and honestly I can’t tell what’s special about the Fender Stratocaster, and the Fender AMERICAN Stratocaster. Besides the American being 400 more… also:
A Gibson SG and a Gibson Vintage SG
Stratocaster and an older model of one (like a 50s reissue)
I know people think Gibson is better than Epiphone, but is the difference really big enough to spend 2,000 dollars on?

Mrs. Ringo asked: Which is a better guitar. I would think the Vintage Mahogany is because it has BurstBucker Pro pickups (same as the old and new 2008 Standards). But a lot of people love the Studio. Thoughts?

emerica90 asked: here is my problem.. im starting to get really good at guitar. im into all the techniques and have mastered them.. that includes finger tapping very quickly, hammering, pulling off, etc. the only problem is that my amp and guitar **** and i have no money. for example..when i finger tap on my guitar it is not clear at all and it sounds really bad compared to when i do it on my friends ibanez. im trying to get a heavy sound but all i have on my amp is a “boost” effect which is not really much of a distortion. im guessing its my guitar though also.. pickups are pretty bad and everything. i have an epiphone les paul special II and a Studio 10S epiphone practice amp….should i just get a new guitar/amp or a distortion pedal or what? any suggestions on an amp. i might get a Gibson Vintage guitar or maybe an Epiphone Prophecy with EMG pickups =] what do you guys think?
