Tino asked: I was on ebay one day, and I found this vintage cardboard Halloween cut out I wanted. I didn’t watch it or anything, and when I went to go back and look for it to buy it, I never was able to find it again. I’m here in hopes that someone on Yahoo answers shares the same passion in vintage Halloween die cuts as I do and will know where to find this de cut or have at least seen it. I would say that this die-cut was from the 40′s, and it was of a boy dressed as a bum/hobo carrying a stick trick or treating. Have you seen this die cut? I’m guessing it was made by the beistle company, but it could have been made by Gibson; I’m not sure. Please please please someone get back to me and let me know if you seen this die-cut. Thank’s.

Joshua asked: I know Les Paul’s always have what they call “medium jumbo”, but I don’t know if Gibson used a smaller fret size similar to what Fenders used on their guitars in the 50′s. I’ve never been able to see or feel a real Gibson ES-150 or a vintage L-5. I think the newer L-5 models and ES-175 have frets similar to a current Les Paul.

Just me asked: My sister found a vintage 1954 Les Paul guitar in a Gibson hard-shell case with faux fur lining, the guitar and case are in excellent to mint condition. Her boyfriend owns the storage container and received the guitar back in the 70′s on a trade deal for some auto work he did for this guy. He forgot the guitar was in this storage building until today when she was cleaning it out. How do you find out the value of this gem? They don’t have internet to do research so I told them I would try to find out.
No warping or fading
original knobs which were made that year for that specific guitar, strings…everything beautiful

ivegotquestions asked: Im looking for a good vintage guitars forum. I have an old 1960s Gibson SG that I need to find out the exact year. I need a good knowledgable forum where people can help me out. Thanks
Oh, and in response to that first answer, the serial number is extremely faded. it was when they used to press the number into the actual wood.
