YeYeehYo asked: I want to buy my dad an Epiphone H-bird for his birthday that is coming up soon. He and I are new to guitars but I figure we can possibly get some father/son activity out of this. I bought myself an Ibanez RG1570 Prestige to learn.
Anyways, so I understand there’s the Gibson H-bird that goes for over $3500 and “blows the other out of the water” with its sound but is there a way to make the Epi. sound more like the Gibson?
I’ve read reviews on how people change up the saddle with a Gibson vintage bone, as well as the bridge, nuts, pins, and strings.

This site has those parts I just mentioned.

Joshua asked: I know Les Paul’s always have what they call “medium jumbo”, but I don’t know if Gibson used a smaller fret size similar to what Fenders used on their guitars in the 50′s. I’ve never been able to see or feel a real Gibson ES-150 or a vintage L-5. I think the newer L-5 models and ES-175 have frets similar to a current Les Paul.

Wendell C asked: I love Fender Jazzmaster guitars, but I only own newer reissues. There is a store near me that has several vintage jazzmasters from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. What should I look for when testing/examining the guitars to ensure that I don’t get ripped off/buy a bad guitar.

wickedlove asked: I have an Esteban Vintage Guitar, and would like to put a strap on it, but there’s only a place on the bottom to connect it. Please don’t make fun, I know NOTHING about guitars! :]

Sunshine asked: Okay, so I’m 15 years old BUT, I have been playing guitar since I was 5 years old, and the only guitars that I own are a squire bullet, (which I hate) and an epiphone hummingbird. (which I love) So i have decided to save my money and get a nice quality electric guitar. I have had my heart set an the fender american vintage ’62 strat reissue ever since I first layed eyes on it at the guitar shop. Then I picked it up and played it, and I just knew that I had to have it. The tone is just PERFECT for my style of music. The only problem is that I can’t get a job because I’m only 15. And my parents aren’t loaded, so they can’t just go and buy me a 2 thousand dollar guitar. So does anybody have any ideas on how I can earn and save up $2000 relatively quickly? Thanks in advance.

Jenny U asked: Need more info about a Kay Vintage F-Hole Guitar… Any informative websites that could help me?
If you are very familiar with guitars: It has a white pick guard with a small black circled “K” near the strings. “Kay” is also written on the top of the neck inside a triangle. I’ve seen similar guitars online but cannot find this particular one.

Benjamin asked: I am checking out these guitars on Ebay in perfect condition with the price reduced from around $350 to $160. I have heard mixed reviews on both the Gibson and Epiphone model of these guitars, but like the sound of them. I was wondering how good the pickups are, if they go out of tune easily, the overall quality of these guitars, ect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ARTIST asked: I already own a danelectro 59 dc, but am looking to upgrade to something more sophisticated.
I want to invest in a vintage Gibson SG, and am looking on the internet and in various music stores and pawn shops in the area where i live.
Does anyone know of any site that specializes in these types of guitars? I probably won’t buy online, but I still want to see all of my options. Here’s a picture of a 1964 model:
