warwick2155 asked: Got it second hand for just under £1000 on ebay, honest sounding seller. play tested it, it sounds awesome, has the classic vintage tuners, they have gibson deluxe on them, the headstock has ‘made in usa’ with an 8 digit code stamped on the back. the tone and volume knobs are alligned straight not diagonal, the truss rod cover has 2 screws not 3 and there is a nut underneath it.
TBH there is nothing that indicates this is a fake guitar but i just get paranoid, here is a link to the pics

can anyone tell me their thoughts?
Thank you

ilovekristeniv asked: i want a replica of john frusciante’s (from red hot chili peppers) 1962 fender strat (3 tone sunburst). it has a very beat-up vintage appeal to it & i love it. here’s a picture for what i mean by “beat-up” and “vintage” look:
http://www.jftab.com/img/gear/guitar/frusciante-stratocaster-1962.jpg
by saying vintage, i am mainly talking about that beat up body & neck of the guitar with the worn out edges from natural (or synthetic for a strat to buy) wear and tear. the other vintage parts (pickguard, pickups, knobs, etc.) can be bought. i just need the actual body & neck. any suggestions on where i can find this guitar?
new guitars (unused) are fine along with vintage guitars. an exact replica of the john frusciante strat would, of course, be better.
10 points for best answer.
thanks guys.

Just me asked: My sister found a vintage 1954 Les Paul guitar in a Gibson hard-shell case with faux fur lining, the guitar and case are in excellent to mint condition. Her boyfriend owns the storage container and received the guitar back in the 70′s on a trade deal for some auto work he did for this guy. He forgot the guitar was in this storage building until today when she was cleaning it out. How do you find out the value of this gem? They don’t have internet to do research so I told them I would try to find out.
No warping or fading
original knobs which were made that year for that specific guitar, strings…everything beautiful

Luke T asked: In my local music shop today I came across a fender tube amp. It was tan and the front said vintage tube amp near the top right. On the front were chicken foot knobs and they alternated colors between white, black, white, black all the way across. It was a 1×12 and the back had 2 outputs for an 8 ohm and 4 ohm output. An ideas?
