I have a vintage lapsteel and need to replace just the buttons on the machines as they got melted by the previous owners. These machines are not available any more, but buttons are readily available. They are not the ***** on type, so how do they fit? Cheers, Dave

i believe i have to take out the nut that is already there for the strap and replace it with this *****?
