Wendell C asked: I love Fender Jazzmaster guitars, but I only own newer reissues. There is a store near me that has several vintage jazzmasters from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. What should I look for when testing/examining the guitars to ensure that I don’t get ripped off/buy a bad guitar.

Gladiarus Alatus asked: I was looking for a nice light bass, and the ’62 Jazz Bass seemed just fine.
What’s the difference between the Fender Vintage ’62 Jazz Bass and Fender ’62 Reissue Jazz Bass? They are both Fender-Japan, by the way.

sirgerry asked: Hi
I had my Vintage RI Strat neck refinished and lost the logo in the process. My luthier has one but It seems kind of small to my eye, and I think it may not be original. Can someone help me by measuring their Spaghetti logo from the F to the last r so I can check it up with the one I’m being offered?
Thanks!

Thanks Brian, that cleared things up.
I take care of it like a baby!
I havent gone to see how much its worth but for being that type of amp it must be worth a good amount!

Cameron H asked: did the famed “black face” fender amps actually have a black grill cloth? I have never seen a fender amp with a black grill cloth except those cheap solid state ones. All of the vintage fender tube amps I’ve seen have all had a silver grill cloth

va.halen_nut66 asked: Im having a custom guitar body built, and I was wondering what the difference between one-piece electric guitar bodies, two-piece guitar bodies, and chambered electric guitar bodies tone-wise. Also, I was wondering what wood the original vintage fender stratocasters were made of?

John asked: I want to get a vintage Fender Stratocaster Standard FSR (Factory Special Run), but I’m not sure if Factory Special Run is a good thing? I mean, it sounds cool, like limited edition or something, but I don’t want it if it’s like a cheaper version of a good Strat.
